I’m a Graphic Designer in Bellows Falls, Vermont who recently graduated from The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University. I am looking for freelance, part-time, or full-time opportunities.
Here is something that I wrote for my senior design show in college.
“The quality of design can be gauged by the state of the world and how people are living in it. Its fundamental purpose of problem-solving will always remain the same. Therefore, in the 21st Century it is crucial that designers think ahead to the future, (with history's lessons in mind, of course,) in order to bring fresh and complete solutions to an increasingly globalized, polluted, technological, and populated world. Ideas and products must be better suited to all the needs of the producer and the direct user, as well as indirectly affected people and things. We must learn to better utilize materials, become maximally efficient, and increase the quality of life everywhere. What other is this than not only perhaps idealism, but really, truly good design?”
I am influenced and motivated by: society, the internet, current events, history, politics, designers, true individuals, reading, music, materials, optimism, color, progression, teachers, toys, ethics, culture vs. subculture, urban vs. rural, lessons from observation, nature, and technology.
Some other things that I think are really neat include: cats, electronic music, antique or vintage stuff, and drinking green tea all day every day.
